Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”
ABOUT US
OUR VISION : To build up and equip a community of devoted followers of Christ – living and sharing the Good News.
OUR MISSION : To help people find genuine personal relationship with God through knowing Jesus Christ with respect to their culture, and assist them in their growth towards becoming a strong and mature follower of Jesus Christ, becoming a disciple-maker that will disciple others, and send them out into His harvest field.
OUR HISTORY
In 2002, several pastors from IRM Evangelical Church of the Philippines were inspired with a vision to plant a church in Singapore. At the time, many willing and dedicated IRM members were already working in Singapore.
The church began holding regular worship services in 2004, starting with a small group meeting in a house at Jalan Ampas, under the spiritual covering of Shekinah Assembly. From the start, the church operated as a self-sustaining, self-governing, and self-propagating body. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the leadership of Pastor Ferdinand (Jojo) de Leon, along with the elders and ministry team, the church steadily grew with a clear mission—to become a healthy church committed to fulfilling the Great Commission.
After years of steady growth, a committee was formed in October 2010 to pursue the church’s own legal registration with the Registry of Societies (ROS). After seven years of existence as a church and following seven months of processing, the application was approved in May 2011. The church was officially recognized as Global Harvesters Full Gospel Church, marking a significant milestone in its journey of faith and ministry.
In March 2024, the church experienced a significant transition when Pastor Ferdinand de Leon answered God’s call to to minister in Toronto, Canada. In response, God called our church president at that time, Bro. Joel de Vera, into full-time ministry. Obedient to that call, he left a successful career in the tech industry to become our full-time pastor.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
THE BIBLE
We believe that the Scripture, both the Old and New Testament, is the inspired Word of God, and is the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
GOD
We believe in the one true God who lives eternally in three distinct persons (Trinity) – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnated Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, who was truly human and truly divine, yet without sin.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, reveals the truth about God, and empowers believers to worship and to witness.
SALVATION
We believe that the salvation of man is only possible through the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, His atoning grace and justification through faith.
NEW BIRTH
We believe that the proof and witness of the new birth in Christ is a sanctified life manifested in good works which ultimately fulfils the Great Commission.
RESURRECTION
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all believers, as exemplified by the Lord Jesus Christ, who has triumphed over the penalty of sin and hell.
CHURCH
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, who is empowered and endowed by the Holy Spirit, with the priesthood of all believers whose purpose is to worship and glorify God.
SECOND COMING
We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ, to judge both the living and the dead, and to establish His eternal dominion.
OUR PASTOR

Pastor Joel De Vera lives out the calling of John 15:16 (NASB95):
“You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.”
Pastor Joel De Vera is the Pastor of Global Harvesters Full Gospel Church, Singapore. Formerly a Solutions Architect in the tech industry, he responded to God’s call in March 2024 to pursue full-time ministry — leaving behind the corporate world to shepherd God’s people with a heart deeply devoted to discipleship, missions, and the Word of God.
Originally from the Philippines, Pastor Joel came to know Christ in 1997 and has since committed his life to exalting the Name of Jesus, living under His Lordship, and proclaiming the gospel to the nations. After relocating to Singapore in 2007, he began actively serving in various ministries — including music, family discipleship, preaching, and Bible teaching.
He is currently pursuing graduate theological studies at East Asia School of Theology (EAST), a division of Cru Asia, where he continues to be spiritually formed and theologically equipped for long-term pastoral leadership. EAST has played a vital role in shaping his ministry philosophy and grounding his biblical convictions.
Pastor Joel is joyfully married to Ethel May, a dedicated Cardiac Technologist and faithful ministry partner who serves alongside him in Pastoral Care Ministries. They are blessed with two daughters, Danielle and Gabrielle, who both serve actively in the church’s Music Ministry.
By the grace of God, their family reflects a shared call to serve — raising up Christ-centered communities through small groups, discipling believers toward maturity, and reaching the Filipino diaspora and beyond with the love and truth of Christ.
WHERE CAN I SERVE?
“If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 4:11
Here at Global Harvesters, our members are given the opportunity to serve God in a variety of ministries that suit their gifts, talents and interests, all for the greater glory of the Lord.

PREACHING MINISTRY
The Preaching Ministry serves as a vital partner to the pastor in proclaiming God’s Word during worship services. They help carry the responsibility of preaching and teaching, ensuring that the congregation is consistently fed with truth from the Word of God. Through prayerful preparation and obedience to the Holy Spirit, the Preaching Ministry delivers messages that point people to Christ and strengthen the church. As Paul reminds us, “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction” (2 Timothy 4:2).
1 Corinthians 14:40 reminds us that “All things must be done properly and in an orderly manner.”
This principle is at the core of the Program Team’s mission. They diligently strive to ensure that all church events, such as our Worship Services, prayer meetings, church fellowships, special day celebrations, and other activities—are organized in a manner that gives glory to God. As the central coordinators, the Program Team works closely with other ministries like Music, Production, and Preaching to ensure every element flows smoothly and effectively.

PROGRAM TEAM

MEDIA &
PRODUCTION TEAM
Psalm 96:3 encourages us to “Declare His glory among the nations, his marvellous deeds among all people.”
This reflects the heart of the Media and Production Team, who manages our weekly Sunday worship service livestream—providing an essential way for members who cannot attend in person to stay connected. They also manage our digital presence by sharing spiritual content on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, and our website, with the goal of reaching more people with the Gospel.
Psalm 95:1-2 invites us to worship joyfully: “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.”
Our Music Team, consisting of worship leaders, singers, musicians, and sound technicians, work together to usher us into God’s presence through music, enabling us to worship the Lord with reverence. Their heart for worship and skill in music help create an atmosphere where our church can freely express praise and adoration to God.

MUSIC TEAM

USHERING TEAM
The Ushering Team is the first to greet you warmly when you visit our church. Embracing 1 Peter 4:9, “Welcome each other as guests without complaining,” they welcome visitors, assist members in finding seats, collect offerings during worship services, and ensure everyone feels at home at Global Harvesters. In addition, they support the preparation and serving of food before or after services and during church events, fostering a spirit of hospitality and fellowship.
The Christian Development Program provides quality Christian teaching through Sunday School for the children in our church. Its purpose is to instill biblical truths, foundational values, and a deep-rooted faith that will guide children as they grow. This is in obedience to Proverbs 22:6, which says, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not turn from it.”

CDP

MISSION TEAM
The Mission Team plays an important role in fulfilling the church’s calling to reach the nations with the Gospel. They lead and support outreach efforts both locally and internationally, through evangelism, community service, missions trips, or partnerships with other ministries. Their passion is to share Christ’s love and make disciples just as Jesus said in Matthew 28:19–20, “Go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
The Outreach Team organizes fun and engaging activities outside the church, such as bowling events, Church Family Day, and other social gatherings—to foster fellowship and connection. These events encourage members to invite friends, build relationships, and share the love of Christ in a relaxed, welcoming environment. As Romans 12:13 reminds us, “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”

OUTREACH

FAMILY
The Family Ministry organizes events and gatherings specifically for couples and parents to strengthen marriages, encourage Godly parenting, and build Christ-centered homes. Through seminars, fellowships, and special programs, they provide a space where families can grow in faith and support one another. As Joshua 24:15 declares, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord,” the Family Ministry seeks to help every family live out this commitment with joy and purpose.
Men of Faith (GH Men’s Ministry) organizes events for men at church regardless of age, so they can grow in faith, build Godly friendships, and be equipped to lead in their homes, church, and community. Through sports activities and fellowship, the ministry encourages men to walk boldly in their identity in Christ and support one another in life’s challenges. As 1 Corinthians 16:13 reminds us, “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” This verse reflects the heart of the ministry—raising up men who lead with strength, faith, and integrity.

MEN OF FAITH

WOMEN OF WISDOM
Proverbs 31:25-26 says, “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”
Women of Wisdom (GH Women’s Ministry) organizes activities for women regardless of age, so they can enjoy fellowship and learn more about how to be a woman of God. The ministry creates a nurturing space for spiritual growth, prayer, and meaningful connection, encouraging women to walk in purpose, support one another, and live out their faith in every area of life—from the home to the workplace, and beyond.
Ecclesiastes 12:1 reminds us to “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come…’”
Young Adults and Youth (GH Youth Ministry) plans various activities for the youth at church to help them grow in their relationship with God, build strong friendships, and discover their identity and purpose in Christ. Through Bible studies, ministry opportunities and fun outings, the ministry creates a safe and vibrant space where young people can be encouraged, equipped, and empowered to live out their faith in today’s world.
